About: In 2007 Nick starts performing under the name Afrojack, determined to proceed to the top as a DJ and producer. Track after track and remix after remix follow. Afrojack is rarely seen outside of his studio. When he’s not deejaying, he is producing and it starts to pay off. His tracks get played and massively supported by international DJ’s like David Guetta, Josh Wink, Dave Clarke, Laidback Luke, Fedde Le Grand, Marco V and national DJ’s like Chuckie , DJ Benny Rodrigues, Erick E, Roog and Sidney Samson. Just to name a few.

In 2007 Afrojack starts his own record label, Wall Recordings (exclusively for Beatport and Juno). A whole bunch of quality releases soon follow (Don’t Be, Proper Introduction, Thief etc.)

In 2008 he hits the clubs with “Math” and “Do My Dance” and again both tracks get picked up by every big name in the industry. Afro hooks up with Partysquad and a couple of weeks later, a “Drop down (do my dance)” co-op mix is born and hits the Dutch top 20, and gets crowned “Tune of the Week” by the biggest Dutch radio stations, and even the biggest Dutch music television network “TMF”. He also appears at many festivals. To name a few: Mystery Land, Tomorrowland (Belgium), Extrema Outdoor and Sensation

Afrojack’s popularity is rising internationally. He is considered to be a genius producer and creates a series of collaboration with international artists like David Guetta, Diplo, Kid Cudi, Chuckie, Laidback Luke and Steve Angello. Most of his tracks are featured on beatport.com.

Respected by his colleague DJ’s for his production talent and skills and loved by clubbers for his dancefloor bombs and energetic performances, Afrojack sets a new standard in the industry and is here to stay.

About David Guetta:

As one of the most in demand producers on the planet, David Guetta is poised to take electronic music out of the confines of the global underground, where he reigns as the No. 1 House DJ. Joining hands and forces with some of the biggest names on the urban scene, while introducing some undiscovered talents, another level beckons.

Already a multi-platinum selling artist in Europe, with three chart-topping albums to his name to date (Just a Little More Love 2002; Guetta Blaster, 2004; Pop Life, 2007), his signature sound of quirky, electro, house and dirty pop, is igniting across the rest of the world, where it was kept a club-land secret. Until now.

EMI Music will release Guetta’s much-awaited 4th album late August. It features guest vocals from Kelly Rowland, Will.I.Am, Novel and long time hit-maker Chris Willis, of course. Plus there are others too hot to mention yet. Guetta has also produced the forthcoming single by the Black Eyed Peas “I Got A Feeling”.

His mission is to share the love and connection Dance music is built on while bringing together music scenes that co-exist but don’t often mix – like NERD, Timbaland and Kanye – but significantly, from another perspective. Call it Electro-Hop, R&B Dance, Hip House, whatever you want, but it’s the sound that will define 2009.

As an artist and producer, he makes music that rocks the coolest clubs and yet sits proudly on pop radio and MTV. He uniquely and boldly treads a tightrope most DJs wouldn’t dare to traverse too: the line between being an underground DJ and having huge crossover success.

That might not sound like two worlds that go together, but that he won a World Music Award and was voted the best house DJ in the DJmag Top 100 in the same year is a credit to his ability to work in both of these seemingly disparate worlds.

David knows what touches people; playing in over 200 cities last year alone and up to 2 million people at a time – as well as in underground basement jams; he should.

The Final Show: Swedish House Mafia ended it all where it started on Sunday night: on the Main Stage of the Ultra Music Festival, three years after they first played the flagship dance music event. “Good evening Miami. My name is Axwell, this is Sebastian Ingrosso and Steve Angello — and we are still the Swedish House Mafia,” said Axwell at the set’s start. But just 90 minutes later, the mega-group that put EDM on the pop music dial and the arena rock map would be no more. The DJ/producer trio announced its plans to split up in June of last year. While no finite reason was given, they referenced a desire to try something new, and fear of stagnation, in their recent Billboard cover story. They’ve been traveling the world since January as part of the aptly-titled One Last Tour: a whopping 52 shows around the world – including sell-outs at Madison Square Garden and a five-night stint at Bill Graham Civic Center in San Francisco – for over one million fans overall. That’s not counting the millions participating via social media, and the roughly 250,000 who watched the Ultra Live stream.

The Ultra Main Stage played host to One Last Tour’s massive set, including the LED-wrapped, three-tier DJ booth (which had been visible throughout the festival during other artist’s sets, like a constant reminder of what was to come). Their set was an abbreviated version of the tour shows to fit the fest’s shorter time slot, but if fans knew what to expect, they certainly didn’t show it. Though most of the attendees probably knew most of the songs, each drop elicited a reaction like they were hearing it for the first time.

Swedish House Mafia: Billboard Cover Story:

The Ultra Main Stage played host to One Last Tour’s massive set, including the LED-wrapped, three-tier DJ booth (which had been visible throughout the festival during other artist’s sets, like a constant reminder of what was to come). Their set was an abbreviated version of the tour shows to fit the fest’s shorter time slot, but if fans knew what to expect, they certainly didn’t show it. Though most of the attendees probably knew most of the songs, each drop elicited a reaction like they were hearing it for the first time.

The excitement started before the group took the stage, as UMF’s six other stages began to empty and throngs of tired ravers began to head to the Main. After a set from Ingrosso protege Alesso, BBC Radio 1 host and longtime SHM supporter Pete Tong took to the mic at about 9:25 PM to hype the crowd. He asked three questions, each of which drew a thunderous response: “”Miami, are you here? Are you ready to rave? Do you love Swedish House Mafia?””

Finally, at 9:30 on the dot, the stage came to life and began displaying the group’s “We Come, We Rave, We Love” intro sequence. The crowd went wild when they caught the first glimpse of the three Swedes in the booth, their images projected on the giant video screens flanking the stage (for the benefit of the many fans too far away to see them). A group with only six singles obviously has to play them all.

The set began with “Greyhound” – a track created especially for SHM’s international Absolut vodka campaign – and perfectly timed CO2 bursts and laser flashes to start things off with a major bang. They went on to play a mixture of SHM music, plus that of its individual members and their respective record labels: Ingrosso’s “Calling (Lose My Mind”) came early in the set, and Steve Angello’s mega-hit “Knas” was mashed with Axwell and Henrik B’s remix of Adrian Lux’s “Teenage Crime.” A high point in the set was the group’s remix of Coldplay’s “Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall,” which built into the final release and biggest hit of their short career, “Don’t You Worry Child;” another inspired mix was the gradual transition from “Miami 2 Ibiza” into the iconic melody of “One.”

It was easy to sense the emotional nature of the show, with Axwell taking the mic several times to thank the fans for their support and shouting out specific members of the production team making the show possible. He called it a “special night,” and likened it to being their “last day in school.”

In the final moments of the 90-minute set, Axwell asked if the crowd if we could “save the world one last time together” before vocalist John Martin appeared on stage. He sang live renditions of the group’s tracks “Save The World” and “Don’t You Worry Child” as things were coming to a close with a huge crowd singalong; a powerful ending.

The dissolution of Swedish House Mafia as a three-DJ juggernaut marks the end of an era in dance music. Whether it will be the so-called “EDM” era, or simply this particular group’s journey, remains to be seen. (Perhaps not even that: Many at the festival joked that they were ready for the 2015 reunion tour.) But no one can deny their impact: They were the first dance act to sell out the iconic Madison Square Garden, commanded the attention and sponsorship of major brands, rejected the notion that big artists need big albums, and forged a deep relationship with fans, further evidenced by the pathos attached to their retirement. They carved their own path, right down to its final destination.

Before things ended at Ultra, Axwell took one final opportunity to remind everyone that “we came, we raved, and we fucking love you.” The mantra became the theme of the tour, and served as a fitting closing statement from a group that has accomplished so much, achieved so many firsts, and decided to step away from the game while they were still on top.

We will miss them! Check out their final show here: Swedish House Mafia – Ultra Music Festival 24-03-2013

About Laidback Luke: There is no denying that Dutch turbine Laidback Luke has truly established a name for himself. His dynamic fusion of hyper-drive-house-step & ghetto-jack-trance-bass is the sound of now and has been for the past decade – and there is no sign of it slowing down!

Born in the Philippines and raised in Holland, Luke van Scheppingen, aka Laidback Luke, without a doubt is the reference point of the dance scene for thousands of clubbers these days. Blasting your speakers with blockbuster beats, stirring things up with his hybrid house styles and his unlimited energy, brightly results in both stunning live sets and ongoing anticipated studio hits. The Dutch heavy weight house master is loved all over the globe: his Super You&Me events sell out wherever it goes to and he keeps being ranked in the Top echelons of the (in)famous and by-all-means-wanted TOP 100 DJ lists.

Next to his busy schedule Luke still finds time to give the next generation of music makers a leg-up through his forum, at www.laidbackluke.com. He’s got over 300,000 followers on Twitter, receives 12GB+ of promos every week, and boards more than 160 flights a year – without breaking a sweat. Sure his name is Laidback, however when the music’s blasted through speakers he is anything but relaxed!

So what more can the new decade bring for our revolutionary rebel? Well, with the crazy energy that he conveys and the martial arts that he practices, rest assured it will be out of this world. Yes, our fresh-faced superhero has good ‘kung fu’, always keeping an ear to the ground while his creativity rockets skyward. Luke, we salute you!

About Luciano: Born in 1978, Luciano is a DJ since 1993 and a producer since 1997. In the mid-90′s, he was promoting Sense Club and Encuentros con la Technocultura in Santiago de Chile in the company of many initiators of the Latin American electronic music scene: Senor Coconut AKA Atom Heart, Ricardo Villalobos, Dandy Jack & brother Adrian Schopf, Washington Miranda, Argenix Brito, Microman etc.

He’s played radio stations and DJed clubs & events in Santiago and Latin America, Germany, Spain & Holland, settling in Switzerland in 2000 to release on Mental Groove Records in Geneva, where he also holds a residency at the Weetamix club. His releases appear on the Transmat, Perlon, Lo-Fi Stereo, Bruchstuecke and Klang Elektronik record labels.

Luciano’s mixed Swiss & Chilean identity shows in his music, a somewhat mystical blend of deep techno & electro that integrates southern elements in rhythms and colorful patterns in sound. His collaborations with Ricardo Villalobos (Playhouse, Perlon, Warp, Force Inc etc.) as Sense Club are especially rewarding, as is his partnership with Pier Bucci and Argenix Brito as Monne Automne.

Mellowing his style as times goes by, getting more experimental and spacey with a fresh style of his own, Luciano’s production is destined to the wiser dancefloors that have enjoyed his live sets in Peru, Chile, Argentina, the U.S., Spain, Germany & Switzerland. DJ-wise, Luciano’s trade relies on groovy & minimal.

Latest new about Calvin Harris: Calvin Harris has claimed he is looking into taking legal action against the BBC following an interview with Radio 1′s Newsbeat.

The Newsbeat feature focuses on the issue of DJs and whether or not they “just press play” during live sets. In the piece, which also includes quotes from Swedish House Mafia and A-Trak, Harris is quoted as saying that it does not matter if DJs do pre-record their sets as long as fans have a good time at their shows.

Speaking to the BBC, Harris is quoted as saying: “I think it’s not a problem. In the club you want to hear a produced piece of music, you want to hear the bass, you want to hear it as good as it can sound. I used to perform with a band putting all sorts of work into a live show and I can tell you that the reaction was worse than it is when I’m DJing.”

He adds:

If you’re a real purist live music fan then you probably want to see some kind of talent with an instrument. On the other hand you may just want to go to a show because you’ve heard these songs, you love the artist and you’re going to see some kind of mind-blowing light show – you’re quite happy to be there, lost in the moment.

However, Harris has disputed saying these things in relation to the question “Is it OK for DJs to just press play”, stating that he was asked a different question to elicit his answer and demanding the BBC release the recording of his interview to clear his name. In an extended Twitter conversation, which you can see in full below, Harris said: “Find the audio where I say ‘It’s OK to prerecord a DJ set’. It doesn’t fucking exist, and I don’t know ANY DJ that actually does that.”

An insider at BBC Newsbeat reports that the audio has been double-checked. “We are confident that the quotes were used in context and we stand by our journalism,” they say.

Harris recently released his album ’18 Months’, which features collaborations with Dizzee Rascal, Example, Ellie Goulding, Rihanna and Tinie Tempah. The Scottish producer admitted that his song ‘We Found Love’ with Rihanna changed his life forever.

About Deadmau5: The most impactful revolutions aren’t planned, plotted or premeditated.

They simply happen. There’s also typically an enigmatic figure at the forefront of those aforementioned creative shifts. Canadian native Joel Zimmerman, more commonly known asdeadmau5 (pronounced “dead mouse”), didn’t set out to become a groundbreaking electronic artist. He just made some music and it happened to change the game and pop culture as we know it. Isn’t that the best way for it to work though?

Up to this point, his career stands earmarked by a series of firsts and shattered records. At the 54th annual Grammy Awards in 2012, he gave a monumental performance as part of the prestigious ceremony’s first-ever telecast celebrating electronic music. He’s also the first electronic artist in history to grace the cover of Rolling Stone. His sold out show at Toronto’s Rogers Centre, documented on the MEOWINGTONS HAX 2k11 DVD, and London’s Earl’s Court, documented on the deadmau5 live @ earl’s court DVD, made him the first Canadian artist as well as the first electronic artist to headline both venues.

In some fashion, everything has led up to > album title goes here < for deadmau5. He’s dropped three critically acclaimed albums: 4×4=12, For Lack Of A Better Name and Random Album Titleand seen international chart success with singles “Sofi Needs A Ladder,” “Ghosts ‘n’ Stuff” and “I Remember.” In addition, he’s notched multiple JUNO Awards and received three Grammy Award nominations. He also performed at the 54th Annual GRAMMY Awards as part of its first ever telecast performance highlighting electronic music. His fan base speaks the loudest though. He’s garnered over 6.5 million fans on his Facebook page and over 1.3 million followers on Twitter. Plus, deadmau5 remains an impressive concert draw, headlining the biggest festivals in North America Lollapalooza, Outside Lands, Sonar, Virgin Mobile FreeFest, Ultra Music Festival and Electric Daisy Carnival. He was the first Canadian and electronic artist to sell out Rogers Centre in Toronto. If that’s not enough, he broke a record held by Rage Against the Machine for most consecutive shows at the Roseland Ballroom in NYC with a staggering six nights at the iconic venue. He adorned the cover of Rolling Stone’s summer double issue in 2012, another first for an EDM artist. With his cat Meowingtons gracing the artwork for > album title goes here < the music sits firmly entrenched in the deadmau5 universe. It’s open and otherworldly and welcoming of all genres, species, etc. Ray Bradbury would be proud.

About David Guetta: As one of the most in demand producers on the planet, David Guetta is poised to take electronic music out of the confines of the global underground, where he reigns as the No.

Latest news: FEDDE’S “LONG WAY FROM HOME” OUT ON MARCH 18 ON FLAMINGO RECORDINGS

Fedde le Grand returns to the fore with his first official single of the new year, the incredible ‘Long Way From Home’, marking the first in a deluge of new material scheduled for release from the Dutchman over the coming months.

Released on Flamingo Recordings on March 18th the track, which is the official anthem to the 9-city Road To Ultra tour currently setting the US on fire, is a co-production with fellow Road To Ultra cohorts Sultan + Ned Shepard.

Marking a slight departure from le Grand’s recent sound, ‘Long Way From Home’ is a warm, funk-infused cut soaked to the bone with lush rhythmic hand claps, rolling drum sections and an infectious blues vocal riff, underpinned with juxtaposing synth stabs and jumping acoustic guitar chords that thrust energy and pace throughout the entire piece.

Le Grand premiered ‘Long Way From Home’ to the world at large during a special guest mix and interview on Danny Howard’s drive time BBC Radio 1 show late last month. On March 15th, straight after what is sure to be yet another epic UMF set from Fedde and marking the end point of his Road to Ultra tour, the ‘Long Way From Home’ video will go live to billions around the world through YouTube. Containing exclusive content shot during the tour, rumor has it that a second video packed with sensational live footage from UMF looks set to surface some time after.

About Afrojack: Nick van de Wall (born 9 September 1987), commonly known by his stage name Afrojack, is a Grammy Award Winning Dutch music producer and DJ. Born and raised in Spijkenisse, Netherlands, Afrojack’s song “Take Over Control,” which features Dutch singer Eva Simons, has charted in a number of countries. He was listed as number 19 on DJ Mags top 100 DJs of 2010. This was the highest new entry of the year’s list. In July 2010, Afrojack created an Essential Mix for BBC Radio 1. In December 2010, Afrojack announced, via his website, that he would release an album called Lost & Found. The album was released December 22, 2010. In 2011 Afrojack opened the year by remixing Ian Carey and Snoop Dogg’s single “Last Night” to great acclaim. Later on, Afrojack was featured on Pitbull’s hit single “Give Me Everything” along with Ne-Yo and Nayer. He also contributed to the single “Run The World (Girls)” by Beyonce.

Afrojack’s skills stretch much farther than the mixing desk however; his presence as one of the world’s top performers is solidified almost daily in a gruelling tour schedule. In 2012 alone he began his North American “Jacked” tour with multiple sold out shows featuring his growing posse of Wall artists, before embarking on the same concept throughout Europe with 7 shows a week throughout the summer. On top of his own shows, he headlined both EDC NY & Las Vegas to over 300.000 people, as well as the UMF in Miami + Tomorrowland and many other major festivals throughout Europe.

His long anticipated yet to be named artist album is nearing completion, with tracks already being road-tested at clubs. A true testament to his prolific profile as a producer and an artist, the long-player will showcase multiple sides of the Afrojack sound – from aggressive to accessible yet always credible. In the pantheon of EDM greats that have risen over the years, Afrojack has earned his place already, but is far from finished with what he has to share. The adventure continues while the beat goes on.

About Martin Solveig: Martin Solveig is a focused artist, hungry for experience. His first DJ sets (a few nights on the decks of the Palace club when he was 18) inspired a passion for electronic music and an ambition to make a career in this fascinating, exclusive little world. As a student, he was successively resident DJ at Le Palace, Les Bains-Douches, L’Enfer and Le Queen. Assembling disco classics and “Guem” and “Carneiro” percussion, he soon learned to put together small, very simple pieces and produce his first samples…

First productions
… Martin’s first production efforts were persistent, but inconclusive. Then, with the backing of friend and mentor Claude Monnet, he set up his own label, “Mixture”, and finally made his name with “Heart Of Africa”. This piece of percussion enlivened by raging saxophone riffs won acclaim from influential electro players, such as Joe Clausell, Frankie Knuckles and Bob Sinclar. Sinclar, who had just launched his “Africanism” project with DJ Gregory, asked Martin to join the team. The result was “Edony”, Martin’s first hit, which sold 40,000 copies in vinyl. A surprising track, telling the story of an Egyptian princess over a derbouka backing, it reached the number-one spot in the French, Italian and Greek club charts.

“Rocking music”
Martin realised that he had reached a turning point, that it was time to step back from African influences if he was to avoid getting stuck in a rut or acquiring the kind of label that always sticks a little too firmly to an artist behind their back. Another meeting with Jay Sebag brought the possibility of a rewarding partnership that would allow Martin to express his sometimes rather controlled (but uplifting) disco streak. “Rocking Music” was released in October 2004, greatly widening the artist’s audience and winning over the UK public for the first time. Backed by Mousse T, Pete Tong and Erick Morillo, “Rocking Music” impacted on the 2004 Winter Music Conference in Miami, then swept across Europe on the air and in clubs (BBC Radio 1 playlisted it with high rotation).

Decks forever
Martin never lets his producer’s cap get in the way of his DJ headgear. An artist endlessly roaming from venue to venue, he performs his music on the decks, touring clubs worldwide. The 2004 Rocking Music Tour took him to more than 20 countries. In Sydney , New York , Ibiza , Singapore , Barcelona , Zaghreb, London , Lisbon , Dubai and Paris , at events ranging from a private party for Karl Lagerfeld to the open-air festival of Carthage , Martin found unswervingly enthusiastic audiences, often displaying different sensibilities.

About Avicii: Avicii had only been producing a few months when his friends noticed that the productions were amazingly professional and that they had just witnessed a great talent being born. Avicii started out with doing a remix of the theme music for the Commodore 64 game ‘Lazy Jones’, but decided to drop it as it inspired him to make his own ‘Lazy Lace’ – released almost immediately on Strike Recordings.

Avicii was instantly fascinated with producing and spent many hours in his home studio creating one fresh tune after the next. Avicii never tried to get caught up in a specific subgenre of house, but wanted to keep the productions up to date and innovative. His music is inspired by the likes of Laidback Luke, Steve Angello and Tocadisco, but also Daft Punk, Eric Prydz and that of Axwell. In April 2008, Avicii released the first big track, ‘Manman’, on Pete Tong’s Bedroom Bedlam label after winning the Pete Tong Fast Trax. Avicii received an astonishing 70% of the votes and after the release and were contacted by numerous labels, promoters and booking agencies from all over the globe. Even Laidback Luke mentioned Avicii on his Myspace website saying: “[Avicii], by winning this competition, left many contesters behind in their dust. / So a big CONGRATULATIONS to these brilliant DJs for winning the contest and all the luck with their future careers!”

What Avicii wants is to create music for people to listen to and come to love, whether it be at home or in a dark nightclub. Avicii puts great emphasis on melodies in his productions and wants to appeal to fans of many different house music genres. Avicii signed on to At Night Management in May 2008 and within a month the buzz around them spread noticeably and they were recognized on labels such as Joia Records, Vicious Grooves and Ministry of Sound, just to name a few. By the end of that month, Avicii had already signed a big deal with Vicious Grooves in Australia and were head on target to soon explode over the entire globe.

Enjoy Avicii’s latest set on Ultra Music Festival 2013, he added some new styles to his set, including some country elements! You guys like it? Please help us complete the tracklist and add some ID’s in the comment section.

About Armin van Buuren: Excitement in Miami rises to great heights, even before Armin van Buuren’s A State of Trance 600 show at Ultra Music Festival has kicked off. Last night, the Dutch DJ received 5 International Dance Music Awards, for ‘Best Global DJ’, ‘Best Radio Mix Show DJ’, ‘Best Producer’ and more. Armada Music, the label of which Armin is co-founder, won the prestigious award for ‘Best Global Record Label’ for the fifth year in a row, a perfect crown to its 10 year anniversary year.

The ‘Best Trance Track’ IDMA was awarded for Armin’s knock-out tune ‘J’ai Envie De Toi’, a big summerhit in 2012. The IDMA for ‘Best Radio Mix Show DJ’ makes a great compliment to the world’s number one DJ, who’s currently celebrating the 600th episode of his A State of Trance radio show with an extensive world tour. Other important IDMA’s won include ‘Best Producer’, ‘Best Global DJ’ and ‘Best Podcast’ for the official A State of Trance Podcast.

This Sunday, March 24th, Armin closes the second weekend of Ultra Music Festival with the 9th show of his A State of Trance 600 ‘The Expedition’ world tour. The entire show will be broadcast live via www.astateoftrance.com. Next week, the tour touches down in New York’s Madison Square Garden, to close down with the (sold out) grand finale in Armin’s home country the Netherlands, in Den Bosch on April 6th.

About Fedde Le Grand: Fedde le Grand is, without doubt, one of the biggest DJs in the world. His skills both inside and out of the studio are the stuff legends are made of. Whether he’s demolishing legendary State-side festival Coachella on his debut appearance; racking up a straight hat-trick of Beatport #1’s in the overall charts with Autosave, Control Room and his massive remix of EBTG’s Missing, completing the year with So Much Love and the massive remix of Colplay’s Paradise; or touring most of the known world devastating clubland as he goes – le Grand is the name on everyone’s lips. But like any superstar success story, our hero had to start somewhere…

No biography of the Dutch artist could pass without mentioning 2006’s Put Your Hands Up For Detroit. It took one of Holland’s most successful national DJs and propelled him to truly giddy heights of international stardom. The track was number 1 in five countries – Spain, Russia, Finland, Bulgaria and the notoriously hard to crack UK chart – and scooped a raft of gongs including Best Underground House Track, Best Breaks/Electro Track, Best Breakthrough Solo Artist at the IMDA and, Club Banger of The Year at the 6th Annual Club Awards in Miami. His name was everywhere, from radio and print to TV and online media. The world woke up to the blistering and dynamic production work of Fedde le Grand, and he hadn’t even scratched the surface of what was to follow.

The constant traveling and hard work more than paid off in October 2011 when he soared seven places up the influential DJ Mag Top 100 DJs Chart from 21 to 14. With fans everywhere clamouring for more and more of le Grand, it would not be an unwise bet that the Flying Dutchman rises even further up the Chart come the 2011 results.

As a creative producer, an inspirational DJ, and an artist in the truest sense of the word, the passion, integrity and sheer weight of individuality and originality that Fedde brings to the table sees him take his place as one of the most influential electronic pioneers of modern times. Only one-question remains – if this is what Fedde le Grand has achieved so far, what more is there to come?

“I’m a time traveling, speed reading, fortune telling, machine gunning, gypsy loving, scuba diving, multi-tasking, poker playing fan of life. I like playing the odds. My beliefs are radical but I embrace the conservative. I love green tea and believe I was a fish. I love producing music and performing art. My biggest heroes are Bruce Lee and Malcolm X. Be like water by Any Means Necessary. I’m a perfectionist that hates perfection. I am Pillowface and I live in the sky as much as I do on land.

About Ferry Corsten: The Here-And-Now: Ferry marked 2 decades of working in electronic dance music in late 2011 with his 20 Years of Ferry Corsten mega-mix album. In releasing it in an App-only format, he became the first electronic dance artist to put out an album solely through this medium. Its multimedia release included 34 of his biggest hits, worked into the mix. On the singles front he released ‘Check It Out’, ‘Minack’, ‘Brute’ (co-produced with Armin) ‘Feel It’ and ‘So Good’ – the latter going out as a free-share track, as a ‘thank you’ in recognition of his fans loyalty. In October of 2011 Corsten joined forces with Olmeca Tequila, whose owners Pernod-Ricard launched a limited edition bottle, which Ferry himself designed. It was also the year that he became an ambassador for the Dutch World Wildlife Fund, where he has begun to leverage the exposure his events afford him to raise awareness for the Fund’s activities.

Early 2012 will see the release of Ferry’s fourth studio album ‘WKND’. The album was prefaced in late 2011 by the launch of Ferry’s new YouTube-based WKNDR webisodes, which take fans behind the scenes of his gigs and keeps them up to date with his production work.

About Nicky Romero: Nicky Romero, real name Nick Rotteveel, was born January 6th 1989 in the small city of Amerongen, Holland. A keen interest in the drums and an early career spinning house and r&b quickly evolved into an unbridled passion for music production. Early releases, picked up by boutique outfit Once Records, caught the attention of some of the more established labels: Spinnin’, Fly Eye, Toolroom and Flamingo Recordings.
As he worked on honing his sound – a seductive blend of progressive house tinged with electro and acid – he sent a bootleg of David Guetta smash When Love Takes Over out into the world. The track’s online success piqued the interest of Guetta himself and in that moment Romero found his mentor and champion. They have since collaborated on multiple projects including Metropolis and Wild One Two, and in the summer of 2012 Nicky Romero accepted a residency at David Guetta’s infamous FMIF club night at Pacha/Ushuaia Ibiza.

Today Nicky Romero is paying it forward with his Protocol brand, championing up and coming artists like Nilson and Tony Romera with his record label, club night and radio show. Despite only having been launched during ADE 2012, Protocol Radio already has more than 20 million listeners worldwide and continues to grow at a rapid rate, whilst out of Protocol’s four record releases, three have hit the number one spot on the Beatport charts.

Recent studio output includes a track on Rihanna’s album Unapologetic, a huge collaboration with Calvin Harris called Iron, a Madonna remix and releases with Fedde Le Grand, Nervo, and the collaboration with Avicii, I Could Be The One (Universal). His solo releases, tracks like Toulouse, Se7en and Generation 303 have received massive support from a veritable who’s who of dance music aristocracy. As a performer too, he is a force to be reckoned with. Behind the decks his tenacity and ability to work a room was rewarded as he rounded out an intense international touring schedule with sets on the mainstage of both Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas and Tomorrowland.

2012 may have been the best year yet for Nicky Romero, but there is no reason to expect the train will stop here. Pushing relentlessly forward and with the wind at his back, the Nicky Romero brand will continue to mature, becoming an increasingly influential and venerated force in the international music arena.

About Dyro: Meet Dyro. Energetic young-gun, remix maestro, house music magician. To those in the know, he’s one of Holland’s future megastars, the crown prince of the global electronic music scene. For those still waiting to discover this phenomenal young artist, be quick before he wins a breakthrough trophy.

Like a finely tuned Ferrari, Dyro’s career has accelerated with awe-inspiring speed. In 2011, aged just 19, he found that he had both the time and the focus to make the leap from music fan to music maker. A true perfectionist, he spent months honing his skills before finally gaining the confidence to put his work online. It wasn’t long before a series of lucky coincidences connected the tunes on his Soundcloud page with a true influencer and one of Dyro’s own personal heroes – Hardwell.

The media has been paying close attention to the shockwaves Dyro is sending out, with a swathe of EDM blogs marking him as one to watch for 2012. Stylistically he has already drawn comparisons to Alesso, yet it’s difficult to draw clear lines between Dyro and any other artist thanks to a wholly unique approach to his productions.

At the tender age of 20, he already has a near-psychic ability to know what will make an audience explode. Merging huge progressive house with bone-crunching electro drops, Dyro conjures an orgasmic peak-time sound that demands an explosive reaction and will soon be known as the fierce ‘Dyro sound.’ Energy, he says, is the core element in each of his tracks.

There are some killer remixes and collaborations in the works for Dyro in the coming months. With a rapidly growing profile specially in the US and legions of online fans already baying for new material, the road ahead looks clear indeed for this bright young star from Leiden.
